About the event
The mystic's sacred texts invite our souls to explore the interwoven dance between shadow and light. Weaving deep clarity with humorous metaphor, the verses describe the soul’s journey towards the deepest mysteries, and the many struggles and ecstasies experienced along the way. As our souls comprehend the spiritual secrets whispered through the words, our sense of being expands. The past and the future dissolve into the present moment. We remember that we have forgotten who we are. Without commentary or interpretation, simply Laura and her shruti box, the words of the mystics and guitar accompaniment.
About Laura:
After many years alongside her Kashmiri Sufi guide, and with Laura's background in theatre & performance, it all come together in the offering of these devotional poetry performances. Devotional performances shared since 2016 in the UK, Hawaii, Germany, South Africa, Mexico & the US at various events including consciousness festivals, communities, ashrams, yoga centres & kirtans.
